How these connector selection guides are written
Every article here is written by the engineers who handle customer applications, not by a content team. That means the advice reflects what actually goes wrong in the field: a shield terminated at one end only, a cable run through a carrier at half its specified bend radius, a replacement part sourced on price that skews a differential pair.
Where a claim can be measured, we state the measurement conditions. A flex-life figure without its bend radius and travel distance is not engineering information, and we avoid publishing numbers we cannot qualify.
